All of them are raising a hand.In the UK, 405,000 older people (aged 65+) currently live in care homes including 16% of older people aged over 85There are 585 care homes in the Oxford AHSN region (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire). 

Many older people have complex and multiple longterm conditions requiring ongoing health and social care supportThe Oxford AHSN has a portfolio of projects which aim to improve the safety and wellbeing of care home residents – as well as supporting care providersthe health and social care  professionals who work alongside them, commissioners of care home placements and other key stakeholders. This work aligns with the NHS England Enhanced Health in Care Homes initiative.
