Innovative work across the Oxford AHSN region was recognised in a leading healthcare awards competition.
Suicide prevention training run by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust was highly commended in the Improving Outcomes through Learning and Development category of the HSJ Awards. The Oxford AHSN is looking closely at how to integrate this initiative into its patient safety work. Read more here >
The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust was also a finalist in this category for introducing a Trust-wide multi-professional human factors and safety in healthcare course.
Two more mental health projects made the final list in the Innovation in Mental Health category. They were:
- the SHaRON eating disorders recovery support programme initiated by Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and backed by the Oxford AHSN
- the Milton Keynes street triage project led by the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust was a finalist in the Clinical Research Impact category and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was a finalist in the Workforce category for a paediatric fellowship link with India and Sri Lanka.
