Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic England’s 15 AHSNs supported the health and care system to respond on a local, regional and national level. We shared our skills and expertise, and spread innovations and technologies to deliver the best possible patient care and support staff and services.
The Oxford AHSN worked closely with two other AHSNs – Wessex and Kent Surrey Sussex – and other partners to keep patients with COVID-19 in the South East safe and well at home. This remote monitoring model went on to be implemented across the NHS.
Nationally, we collaborated with the NHS Confederation and Health Foundation to support the ‘NHS Reset’ campaign. The AHSN Network published its own Reset report in June 2021. To support local systems’ response, AHSNs also created a list of more than 350 ‘ready to go’ innovations.
