ISPOR Europe 2026

Our Health Economics and Methodology team is heading to ISPOR Europe 2026. We’re presenting four posters on early evidence for new health technologies.

Early evidence helps innovators and the NHS see the likely value of a new treatment or tool, long before big decisions get made. Our posters show how we do this across stroke, cancer and digital health.

Come and talk to us at the poster discussions. We’d love to hear how you’re tackling early evidence too.

Poster presentations

Monday 9 November

Early economic evaluation of adjunctive blood-brain barrier modulation in melanoma brain metastases: a UK NHS perspective
Poster: EE228
Presenter: Dr Mamta Bajre, Head of Health Economics and Methodology
Poster session: 16:00 to 19:00
Discussion: 18:00 to 19:00

Most cancer drugs struggle to reach tumours in the brain. This poster explores the early value of a new approach that briefly opens the blood-brain barrier. It would sit alongside existing melanoma treatment.

We first built this model for breast cancer. That poster was selected among the top 5% of abstracts at ISPOR Europe 2025. We carried out this new work with the University of Oxford.

Tuesday 10 November

Early economic evaluation of blood-brain barrier modulation across lung cancer brain metastasis treatment pathways in the UK NHS
Poster: EE389
Presenter: Dr Mamta Bajre, Head of Health Economics and Methodology
Poster session: 10:30 to 13:30
Discussion: 12:30 to 13:30

This poster applies the same model to lung cancer that has spread to the brain. It looks at the early value of the approach across different NHS treatment pathways.

Applying the Lean Assessment Process for the early health technology assessment of a real-time patient feedback platform
Poster: HTA171
Presenter: Florence Serres, Methodologist
Poster session: 10:30 to 13:30
Discussion: 12:30 to 13:30

Will a new technology work in the real NHS? The Lean Assessment Process helps answer that question early. It combines what people tell us with the numbers. This poster shows how we used it to assess a real-time patient feedback platform.

Early economic evaluation of 1View for mechanical thrombectomy: a cost-consequence analysis
Poster: EE509
Presenter: Krishana Parthipan, Health Economist and Methodologist
Poster session: 16:00 to 19:00
Discussion: 18:00 to 19:00

Stroke treatment is a race against time. 1View is a real-time 3D imaging tool that supports clinicians during mechanical thrombectomy. This poster weighs up its costs and outcomes for the NHS.
