Richard Torbett, Chief Executive of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), is joining the board of Health Innovation Oxford and Thames Valley (HIOTV). Richard met the HIOTV team ahead of his first meeting on 10 November. He is pictured (right) with HIOTV Chief Executive Professor Gary Ford.
Richard said: “I’m really looking forward to getting closer to the important work of our Health Innovation Networks — especially in Oxford and Thames Valley — and exploring how we can build even stronger partnerships with the pharmaceutical sector.”
Gary said: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to introduce Richard to our team and look forward to the insights and experience he will bring to the board.”
HIOTV already has strong links with industry. Its board is chaired by Peter Ellingworth, the Chief Executive of the Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI).
