Jason Dorsett has been appointed as the next Chief Executive Officer at Health Innovation Oxford and Thames Valley (HIOTV), succeeding Professor Gary Ford.
Jason is currently Chief Finance Officer at Oxford University Hospitals, a post he has held since 2016. He will join HIOTV in spring 2027.
Peter Ellingworth, Chair of HIOTV, said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Jason Dorsett as the next Chief Executive Officer of Health Innovation Oxford and Thames Valley.
“He brings a wealth of experience, deep knowledge of the health and care system, and a strong track record of leadership. I am confident he will build on these foundations, strengthening collaboration across the region and accelerating the adoption of innovation to improve patient outcomes and NHS productivity.
“Jason succeeds Professor Gary Ford, who has led the organisation since its establishment in 2013. Over the past 13 years, Gary’s outstanding leadership has established HIOTV as a trusted and influential partner to the NHS, driving innovation and improvements in patient care across the region.”
Jason said: “I’m delighted to be joining HIOTV next year as its new Chief Executive. Oxford and the Thames Valley include world class innovative clinicians alongside life sciences and health technology businesses. I am looking forward to continuing and developing the partnerships between the NHS and industry to bring the best care to our local population.”
